I went out alone yesterday, I parked somewhere calm, minding my business, when a security man walked up to me. He looked at me, then at the car, then back at me again like his brain was trying to process something… “Small madam, how old are you?” he asked. I laughed. 😂😂 Before I could even answer properly, he added, “This your car?” I nodded. Yes. The way his face changed ehn 😭 It wasn’t disrespect. It was shock. The kind of shock that says, “Life is really different for some people.” He kept looking at the car, then at me, almost like he was expecting an older person to step out from somewhere. I could tell he didn’t mean any harm, he was just genuinely surprised that someone young was behind the wheel of that kind of car. And in that moment, I didn’t feel the need to prove anything. I didn’t start explaining myself. I didn’t start listing achievements. I just smiled and said my age calmly... “I’m 21 years old Sir”.
